My Mission

I empower clients to achieve financial peace of mind through tailored, data-driven strategies and a commitment to fiduciary principles.

My approach is consistent with the fiduciary standards of the CFP board, and I help coach on all aspects of my client’s financial decisions.

What Makes Me Different?

Fee-Only Fiduciary: My advice is conflict-free, ensuring your best interests are my sole priority.

Clarity in Complexity: I excel at breaking down intricate financial concepts into clear, actionable strategies.

Real Results: From helping you navigate retirement planning to optimizing your tax strategy, I provide solutions that work.

Why “Fee-Only”?

As a fee-only financial planner, your best interest has always been my priority. I don’t earn money on selling products or on commission, therefore my advice is 100% focused on your goals and free from conflicts of interest.

Rather than just paying 1% of your assets, which can end up being tens of thousands of dollars a year, I charge transparent flat fees for my financial advice.

My Story

My financial planning business started in 2017 after leaving a position as a strategist at a New York based hedge fund, after 8 years in that position.   Previously I held research jobs at many of the largest investment banks advising large money managers on investments in the bond market.  I have a long and strong educational background in the quantitative methods and have always been skilled at explaining complicated concepts in personal finance to individuals and families.

Prior to my 35 years on Wall Street, I completed a PhD in geochemistry at Columbia University.   That academic work and my first 10 years doing bond research involved heavy use of computer modeling.  I continue to build large models today.   Currently I trade preferred stocks and have built an algorithmic-based method which earned a return of 28% during 2023.  My interests continue to be in developing quantitative tools to discover relative value opportunities in the financial markets and have spent much time examining index, asset allocation and tax strategies for improving returns.   I write a newsletter several times a year for my financial planning clients.

I have completed all the requirements for the CFP except the experience requirement which in a second career takes time.  The CFP requirements I have met include: Taking 7 courses in areas ranging from retirement and estate planning to taxes and insurance, and passing the very demanding CFP exam.

Any work I do for clients is highly confidential and in my role as a fiduciary includes that I only charge a fee for advice and sell no financial products.
